I would have to think this is why the truck was running bad, but now I think something is wrong. Because at full boost it will cut out and blow some black smoke out, I put new plugs gaped at 35, wires, rotor and cap I also put new vac lines It did not show a code or engine light. What do you guys think it might be the WG rod?

Reduce your plug gap and install msd box. This was my cure. I believe I ran .023 gap on mine. This enabled me with the msd to run up to 30psi without break up.

.23 on a all stock motor, it feels like it shut off the fuel when it happed, Ill work on a video of it to

I running a .026 gap with Iridium UR6IX #7347 with the MSD box. Runs great and increase MPG too.

My truck would buck around and miss really bad like its running out of fuel. This was with the stock cammed engine. 60lb inj and pte 61 turbo. Msd with reduced plug gap should be your fix. Gap you'll have to play with to get right with your truck . .023 is what mine liked. This allowed me to run high boost levels without spark blow out .

When my Sy was mostly stock, it use to do that with the stock chip if I went into overboost. I didn't see where you mentioned how much boost you are running. I did see where you said it didn't set a code, so it might not be overboost, but it is something to check. What is your fuel pressure while under boost? If your fuel pressure does not keep up with boost, it might be your fuel pump wire, if it's still stock wiring. I had 10.8 volts at the pump with the stock wiring.

so today i regaped the plugs to 25 and a got a code 31 run, the stock boost was above 15psi, and the pump is a stock one that was replaced last year. Should I mess with the WG rod?

I was running .032 and running 18psi with no blow out. NGK V Power copper plugs.

Does the truck still have a catalytic converter? Also, does the waste gate rod move freely?

Your cat could be clogged, waste gate might be out of adjustment, or your boost controller is not working correctly. Check your vaccuum lines. For under 20psi I prefer to gap plugs between .028 - .031. Also check your air filter, double check your plug wires, make sure timing is checked with ecm b fuse disconnected.

the boost controller and vac lines are new, air filter and plug wires are all good, wed I will check timing at 0,
