Looking at adding a tow hook to the front. Looking for idea's, I've got a pretty solid one thought out at the moment. I'd be using a bolt on mount next to the lower heat exchanger mount. It will require drilling a hole through the front bumper. I was planning on covering up with our required front plate in Texas.

I will bolt it to the lower frame for the bumper supports. I ordered a receiver and screw in eyelet from renline. Planning on mounting it to the two holes next to the lower heat exchanger mount bolts. I'll update as I get it put on. This road racing stuff is fun!

I finished up this project today, the rennline attachment is a nice piece. It wasn't until I got the part and looked though there catalog when I saw they offer front license plate attachment, also a gopro mount that attaches too the hook bracket. A perfect addition to having 3 uses with one mod. So May 17-18th I'll be recording from the front bumper

Update with plate mounted, also got the go-pro attachment for the tow hook. Not the greatest picture, just washed and no sunlight.

It's a shame to put a hole in the bumper cover, but with all the uses, and decent looks, I like it. It would be just about invisible on a black truck too.

Thanks. AK requires front plate attachment and I never liked it being in the middle of the bumper on these trucks. This will help resolve that issue. I like that its a 3 in 1 type of mount, especially the gopro feature.

There was a guy I knew who made a remote control plate hider deal it was pretty slick. ..hit the button and it would go underneath the bumper and would come out when you needed it too....I'll see if he's still around.

Alternatively, a lot of the Euro and Japanese cars have threaded hook mounts behind the front bumper, just very well hidden by a pop out panel. The only way to tell they are there is by the small opening for a flat screwdriver blade to fit into. My WRXs was even curved and contoured to be nearly invisible unless you had your face up to it. Might be something for someone to engineer.

Thanks! It has been for several years now, seems like every time I've changed out the lens it gets cracked shortly after.

The camera mount turned out really good, I've got some great 1080p of chasing some vettes along other cars. I was surprised how much meth I was using and had too cruise the big straight to save my meth for the entire weekend. Almost 2 gallons a session, I was having to fill up my 3 gallon tank every session. Once I get some spare time I'll finish uploading them to youtube.
