Tranny Problem?

Hey guys, think i may have done it this time. Yesterday I was driving along and I noticed that my truck seemed to stay in first gear "longer"... After a while it felt like I would be in first gear and then nuetral for a few seconds. My RPM's would rise and then it would "smack" into second gear. Every other gear drives fine. I had also noticed a few weeks back it would seem to take a second or two to shift to 2nd gear at wot. Am I screwed?

open the pan and have a look around, you should then be able to find out if you have extra stuff laying around and be better able to cinsider your options at that time. if it's not too bad change the fluid and filter and see what happens. when is the last time it was changed?

I have only had it a year, but not since I have owned it. Think there may be some dirt and grime in there causing problems?

As mentioned previously dropping the pan and inspecting its' contents, if any, will give you the best insight as to the condition of your transmission. Either way, start setting aside two grand and some change for when it does go.

Well, I live in Boston, where it's always cold. Again, this just started yesterday, so I don't really know. Well actually I had just set aside $2K for the finnishing touches on my stereo (so mych for the Alpine flip out DVD), I guess it will be a Waller tranny instead...
