Transfer case differences?

between the syclone and the typhoon. which is stronger? i came up with 2 part numbers the BW1372, and the BW4472. It APPEARS that the borg-warner 1372 was used in the sy, and the 4472 was used in the bravada, TY, safari, and the rare AWD blazer. Does anyone know if the 1372 is going to be alot stronger, or could i find a 4472 from a safari for my 4wd blazer?

They are same, minus output shaft.

Takes different yoke on driveline depending on which one.

How about a conversion from 4wd to awd? what else besides the propshaft would i need? what is a "shift encoder motor"? are these Xfer cases 2 speed?

isn't there a how-to for this?

for the conversion you'll need:
t-case (both are strong, there are some quick sy's running stock t-cases)
output yoke that matches.
t-case adapter
t-case brace
transmission crossmember, some say that they are the same but i've seen both side by side and they are different.
propshaft
front differential OR the driverside axle, driverside axle tube and pinion flange to convert your front diff.

How to- havent found one yet. found a bunch of stuff about new autotrack and making awd shiftable...

1 more question. why do i need a t-case adapter? wont the bravada case bolt onto the transmission? or is this part for something else?

the t-case adapter is needed, all 4wd or AWD use one.

From what I was told the Sy t-case had a 3 pinion planetary and the the Ty had a 4 pinion planetary.
