transmission leak

so i get my transmission in and start to fill it up and i find a leak. it is coming out of the cover thing (servo cover i think) on the pass. side below where the cooler lines are. it spins pretty easily and can be pushed in easily too. any ideas?

it looks like its one of the two seals. The mtv cable seal or the deepstick tube seal. Get dirty

no its definitly coming out of the servo cover.

If so get the "blue" seal that fits there . Its not difficult to replace. You got to push the servo cover to realese and remove the retaining ring and then you got to pull the 4th cover out. You have to cut and remove the oring or it wont go out

I just find it difficult to leak from that oring , but if you say so, so it is.

well i got the servo cover leak fixed. but after i put in a new tv cable that is leaking where it goes into the trasn. is there supposed to be some sort of o-ring or gasket on it?

There IS a seal in there. It has to go down inside kinda difficult and then there is a small bolt to hold the cable down.
Be sure it sits right cause it will leak badly. When the engine is off the oil level is higher than that point so a lot of atf will come out. (been there)

yes thats exactly what happened. after i shut the truck off it poured out. hopefully i will be able to fix it tomorrow. thanks man.
