Trophies and such???

Just curious as to what is going on with the trophy classes this year, like what are they??

I know in years prior there have been award for everything from farthest distance travelled to best license plate.

Are we doing anything more "show oriented" this year? For example,

Best Paint
Best Interior
Best Stereo
Best Engine
Best Overall
Best Use Of (insert something here)

.....you get the picture.

With this years goal being a 1/4 mile of trucks, I cant see why there wouldnt be any reason not to have classes like this, to give those who take pride in more than just a timeslip.

any thoughts from anyone else or can the committee chime in??

I think the consesnus is that plaques are easier to display than trophies.

Ask anyone with a bunch of trophies, they are rarely on display.
Personally I have 3 or 4 trophies that I have hung onto but are in the back of my closet or basement, while my SyTy plaques are hanging on the wall in my office.

Big cool looking trophies get very $$$ very quick.,
A Cheap trophy looks like just that... cheap.

well either way, plaque or trophy, I personally dont do anything with plaques other than toss them in a drawer and move them around when im looking for something else but thats beside the point.

Point I was getting at is, are there going to be any "awards" for such things?

We'll definitly consider any and all input by everyone.

The plaques don't have to be ordered for awhile yet so we have some time to play with.

Obviously we can't have a plaque for everything. But those are some good suggestions.
