Do you have any information on the 11mm wires? Can't find it on the MSD website.

Re: Tune up

My brother had a spare set, I'll ask him and get back to you. They were the "make your own" kit. I put heat sleeves on the turbo side wires. These things are expensive. Dunno how long they will last. Thought I'd give them a try since one of my Taylors fell apart in my hand last night. Doh!

Re: Tune up

Why such a small gap? Are you running Alky?

Nope, had UR5's @ .030 in it before and ran great, no knock but was only set to stock boost. Since have learned it also has a 20g and am working on a new chip for higher boost. Have to start somewhere.:dunno: Hopefully getting a new tune this weekend.

Re: Tune up

The smaller the gap, it reduces potential for igniting the fuel mixture (less hp). Stock spec is 0.035. Some use to recommend 0.032 when pushing higher boost. When Alky became popular, owners tuning found they were getting spark blow out and need to reduce the gaps to 0.030, 0.028 or 0.026. Lately I have been seeing owner using using the Alky spark plug gap recommendation for non Alky SyTy. It's just not needed, in theory it lowers the performance.

Seems to work fine atm. I understand what you are saying. I doubt I, or most people, would even notice a difference driving around with a .035 or a .028. And for now, I am going to run it like it is because it works well for my truck. :cmas:
