Tuning in Ft. Worth Area

Anyone out there know Bill Duke in Saginaw, TX? I was referred to him by Speedtek Performance in Ft. Worth.

Bill told me that he just finished a Sy for a local fellow - if you're out there, please contact me via PM or @ 214-762-2910. I understand that your setup is similar to mine.

Thanks,
Chris

Shuggs just spotted a Sy over there about a month ago.

Duke is good with Buick stuff, not sure about syty.

Be wary of anyone offering to tune your truck to run over 15 psi without a 3bar upgrade of some sort. A good tuning shop uses proper datalogging, wideband O2, checks fueling, exhaust temp, etc.

Guys,

Thanks for the replies. He is a GN specialist but says that he has also successfully tuned several SyTys.

I have a F.A.S.T. Computer and a 3-Bar MAP. I've spoken with Bill and he told me just to have all of my mods completed before I take the Sy to him. I will most likely have him add meth injection.

Just so you know:

4-bolt splayed block from RPM - #1 main is cut-down Milodon (align bored, decked and torque bored/honed)
10/10 nitrided crank form RPM (balanced rotating asmby)
Forged JE's
Shot-peened L35 rods
SpeedPro rings
Clevite bearings
Comp 422
Bronze dist. gear (just added)
1.6 roller rockers
Cometic Head Gaskets
ported L35 heads
double-roller Cloyes
RPM HD Flexplate
ARP bolts- engine and accessory brackets
AFPR
50lbs Injectors
3-bar MAP
Silicone Vacuum Harness
RPM A2A (waiting for wallet to heal- 2 weeks away)
Solid Motor Mounts
RPM turbo oil return
RPM brake booster line
RPM EGR block plate
Russell braided lines for Fuel & Transmission (using old ATR aux. IC for a trans cooler - mounts in front of condensor/radiator)
new Taylor wires
Coated ATR Headers, Downpipe
ATR 3" exhaust (cat or test-tube)
PTE51(?), modified by Turbochargers.com (larger compressor wheel)

F.A.S.T w/ WB O2
Autometer Boost, Pyrometer, Fuel Pressure
Greddy Boost Control

Addco Reay Sway Bar
Aluminum Drums and larger wheel cylinders.
ZR-1 clones w/HTRZ

Anyone else in DFW that can tune a F.A.S.T. setup?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Tuning in Ft. Worth Area

Scott, of A&S Automotive in Keller worked on it and had it doing 348hp, 391 torque (5500 rpm) on a 2-wheel dyno, when he alerted me to the knock in the bottom end.

Thats when I tore it down and discovered the 2 center mains were spun (also block & crank cracked, rod big-ends elongated and top piston rings collapsed and/or broken).
Pretty much sold to me (by my "ex" cousin in Florida), in F/U condition.

Oh yeah, and it thrashed the turbo before that, at initial tuning, necessitating a turbo center-section rebuild.

Scott had worked on the A/F Ratio and Timing, but I'm not sure exactly where those are at.

Thanks for you interest.

Chris

Dont know Bill, but what kind of problems are you having?

Larry,

Acute hemorrhaging of the Bank Account. Followed by urge to re-visit Florida and beat the shit out of my cousin.
