Turbo drain line

Stab it and steer it
Howdy all,

Workin’ on fixin’ a leak at the turbo drain line gasket. I seem to have some interference between the turbo drain line, and the turbo water line that comes across that same area. Is this anything I need to be concerned about?

Just curious before I button things up.

Here's a photo:

Color is wierd so I could make it easier to see. Where the two black line's cross is the dificulity. The large one is the turbo drain and the small is the turbo water line.

Thanks,

If the gasket is your problem, you can use the same gasket that Caterpillar uses on their 3500 series diesel engines. Strange coincidence. If interference is a problem, additional info (pics) would be help. Cant say that I've had that problem.

The gasket was leaking at the flange where it attaches to the turbo. On reassembly I noticed that the turbo drain line and one of the water lines to the turbo are very close to each other. That was the basis of my question.

I'll see if I finagle a photo. Kinda a weird location. If I get it I'll post it. Meantime, thanks for the Cat info.
