How can I tell exactly what precision turbo I have? I actually have 2. One I just got all I know is I was told it was a 62mm. But beyond that I have no info.

Re: Turbo ID

Precision Turbo usually inscribes the turbo size on the compressor outlet. (Ie where a IC piping would connect to).

Re: Turbo ID

Thanks I'll check closer later. I didn't remember seeing anything engraved but I was buying a lot more than just a turbo so I was looking at a lot.
I was more specifically looking for the model number on my new one. I really don't know a whole lot about turbo sizing or if it's bb or not. Kinda want to compare the two I have and decide what will work best for me. Maybe sell one and buy one of the standalones.

Re: Turbo ID

Looks like a 6266 and a bunch of other stuff I can't read. The reciept has no info but it shows $1800 for the kit so I'm assuming that's not a BB turbo.
My other turbo says 6031

Re: Turbo ID

6266 is a great turbo, you'll love it, but will need a higher stall converter.

Re: Turbo ID

Both of those are good turbos. It depends on what you goals and build is. The 6266 should have the potential to make 100hp more than the 6031. The 6031 is probably better suited for a stock short block.
