Turbo question

Can a T3 turbo bolt right up to the stock manifold? I'm assuming it does since RPM sells an adapter plate for the T3 5 bolt turbo to the downpipe.

Some have 3 bolt flanges. Our manifold is 4 bolt. There are adapters available.

I'm looking at a Garrett T3/T4 with a 4 bolt flange. Not sure if I'm going to get an internal or external wastegate though.

Is there atleast a thread I can read that will answer my question? I've searched and came up with nothing. Might just buy both gaskets.
