Stock 92 with 87,600 miles.

- Kenne bell plug wires
- NGK UR5 plugs
- Autozone dist cap and rotor
- Ians vacuum line kit
- Fram air filter
- Mobil1 oil

Everything else stock. I didnt beat it hot before I went, I didnt use low octane gas, I didnt change timing or fuel. I ran 93 octane and drove on in rough idle and miss under boost and all.

Here are the results.

thats absurd, something was messed up.. no way those readings are that low..

my civic's readings are in that range, but the ty should be right by the limit

Um..., ok.

BTW, all of that advise was for getting a poorly running truck (or in my case a truck with no cat) to pass.

good luck, took me 3 trys to get my ty to pass nj emissions.. adjustable fuel presure regulator with about 25lbs of fuel pressure did the trick.. along with a few bottles of dry gas

it was around there, probably closer to 30lbs.. eitherway it wouldn't idle on its own and it ran really bad.. luckily they test it at 2500 in park.. no boost, didn't cause me any problems.. infact i think the ty might need to go to inspection again soon..

ah the beauty of a collector's sticker since i own 6 cars/trucks, NO EMISSIONS OR SAFETY TEST. i'm good til 06/09 til i go back for an odometer check. I was gonna put it through the whole thing but i remembered i cant shut my anti-lock light off and that is an automatic failure so.... nice little Green triangle sticker on mine now

...something isn`t right. I live in Westminster and the State of Colorado refuses to
license my Typhoon without an emissions test. I petitioned them once, won
and got a temporary waiver since its being stored out of state. But they won`t
grant me another waiver and won`t even consider licensing it without emissions test.

Ive seen two licensing bureaus and one emissions testing facility and they all
quote the same story ...as of May of this year.

....so tell me more about this "law change".....

Re: Typhoon Passed Emissions With Flying Colors!

Any car passes a TSI (Two Speed Idle) test, alls that happens is the emissions tech puts it in neutral, revs it to 2250-2750 rpms and holds it there for a minute then lets it idle. That's it, hardly any emissions places have AWD dynos so they have to do a TSI test. If your car doesn't pass a TSI test there's seriously something wrong, in my almost year of testing CT cars I never failed a TSI test. Hell even my Bravada passed with flying colors just like ShuggsRR I had a misfire under boost and a horrible tune.

Sorry, but Colorado still has E-tests. You don't (IIRC), but in Denver we do.

...ah, your absolute right (I reside in Adams County)! Found the following information below:
http://www.revenue.state.co.us/mv_dir/wrap.asp?incl=emissions

Effective January 1, 2007, the basic gasoline emissions program area that consists of the counties of Larimer, Weld and El Paso will no longer require emission testing. Diesel vehicles must still be inspected. There have been no changes to the diesel inspection program in these counties...
Enhanced program area consists of the full counties of Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson as well as parts of the counties of Adams and Arapahoe.
