Anybody have the link that explains the specifics of each of the settings on the Ultimate Chip? I need to know in order to tune properly and can't seem to find them - any help?

O.K. I had already found that info but I thought I had seen quite awhile back a chart of some sort that showed the fuel curve/timing curve/boost level at different RPM levels for each of the settings on the chip so I can use that with Datamaster to fine tune with. The site you directed me to mentions only certain functions that get turned off at certain settings on the chip. Is there anything with more detail for each setting?

I don't recall ever having a chart setup.

Basically the T1 level will give you stock like timing. People say it gave them more timing than stock, but it really depends on what calibration you compare it to, and the conditions (MAT/boost/RPM). Good for 93 octane.

T2 is ~2 degrees more timing than T1, probably need 95-100 octane, depending on the truck and modifications.

T3 is about another 2 degrees more timing, with a bit more timing added in the midrange too. I'd recommend 112=116 octane for these programs.

Thanx - that gives me an idea of what's going on now witheach of the setting groups - I can go from there. I just had my first day at the track with my truck and ran 13.98 on the T117 setting and 93 octane. not bad for being admittedly outa tune. Just for fun we tried 5 gallons of 100 octane at the T2117 setting and the truck took off the first 1/8 mile and when the knock retard kicked in it nosed over hard and lost power. Also it was running at only 8 psi boost verified by Datamaster. I need to do my vacuum lines ASAP before trying anything else. Thanx for the info.

hello, to you stan, what would cause my ic pump not to come on with the ultimate 3 installed, when i jump the wire is turns the pump on! bought the ty recentally just tring to figure all this stuff out, changeing program settings does seem to effect performance, valet settng works, security works, t1 15 seems to be my best setting, the truck has run 13.28 so i you would think it worked at some time, do the chips go bad?? do not have stock 2bar to try. just tring to sort things out, thanks

If you don't have a stock chip, what is piggybacked to your Ultimate then?

what i should of said is i do not have the stock 2 bar to try the stock setup, or will the stock chip work with the 3 bar, sorry for the mix up.

Oh, I get it now. No, the stock chip won't work with anything except the stock 2-Bar MAP sensor.
