thats a lot of $. I bet people would be willing to spend 600-750 tops for this. That means you'd need to get 40-50 participants. And there is no way that many people will fork over the $.
$30k sounds a tad high. Did you farm out this idea to other vendors, or just go to a local shop/friend? I was expecting more like $10k to be able to cast these kinds of manifolds. I too was toying with this idea, and find it interesting that there is another person doing the same.
It sounds HIGH to me as well. I'll update this once the quotes are in. My ultimate GOAL with this is to bring a whole new generation of S Trucks into turbo power. With the very limited production #'s of the SY/TY program parts are expensive and scarce. We have aftermarket headers so the exhaust is covered, A/A intercoolers, why NOT a good intake manifold?
I like the RAMJET approach actually. Green pooh poohed my desire for messing with the stock intake setup in favor of this swap. I want to see the ramjet work myself.
As we speak the BRAPHOON is being shredded of its turbo drivetrain and I'm installing everything into a 1995 L35 4x4 S10. This time around we're adding a PT52 and a PROTORQUE converter in the trans. I'll chassis dyno her with the 4WD T/C and swap the 4472 AWD over after the DFI's tuned in. I'll make sure I take pictures
For the 94 up "pipe dreamer crowd" the later PCM's are a hassle especially the 94/95 VCM crapola unit that also controls the Antilock brakes. GENIOUS HUH? Since I'm a partner in a Chicago based company called Digital Horsepower, Inc. and we specialize in OBD2 PCM's. The 98up trucks could become a reality with the DHP boxes.
We all KNOW that SY/TY's are a blast to drive. I like the later model sleepers cause I can drive em in the snow and park em at the mall and they stay MINE!

No one knows there's a 10K drivetrain making 550hp under the hood!
