using a SYTY intake etc.

This may be a dumb question, but could you use that intake without t/c'ing your egine?

interesting.. I know a guy around here that mentioned something about a GN motor in a fiero he knew of.

I thought working on a sy was a pain.. forget it with that thing.. I cant imagine you can get away without some significant heat evacuation from the engine bay.

heat is not a problem because it can escape
through two 14 x 14 (approx)vents on top
on either side and through the wheel wells

my water never goes over 190 on the hottest day running hard (180 thermostat)

you could use the syty intake and no turbo but i don't think it will encourage any runner or port velocity at low rpm/wotbut i think it would scream at high rpm

may be a st/ty has tried a run with 0 boost?

remember the vortec makes 250 to 260 ftlbs at 3500 rpm this comes from great cylinder filling and combustion chamber shape and 9:1 or more compression.
