When I got my Ty it had a stock exhaust and cat. I renewed the vacuum hoses and set up the wastegate rod with a dti and a calibrated gauge exactly as the factory manual states and it immediately over boosted when I tried to get into it. It did spool up better, but I couldn't run it past 1/3 throttle. I had to readjust the rod. I think the generally recommended position for a 'stock' set up is 1/3 hole to the wastegate rod pin. I dont think this is set in tablets of stone though as they are all different, you have to play around. I now have a 3" cat back and had to adjust again after that to avoid overboost. Looking forward to my next mod.
