Water injection question

How's it going? I've got a good one for you guys. Has anyone tried plumbing water injection through a nitrous port? Not any nitrous port, but the ones in a Holley/NOS 58mm throttle body (pn 20360NOS). I ask because I don't plan on using if for nitrous at the moment, and it would be a real simple hook up. If you not familiar with the part, it has the nitrous entry port right under the lowest vacuum line port, and discharge ports (one port per side) on the bottom behind the throttle blades.
Good idea, bad idea?
I hope the picture works. I suck at this stuff.

Re: Water injection question

Alky needs to be Atomize, spraying. Can you get it to spray, like in misting spray from that port?
If yes, then you are good, if no , then no.

Re: Water injection question

i know it works with a standard alky control kit (which is a 30 or 35 nozzle jet i think.)
it should work because a 7th injector uses the top of the throttle body to spray into and its not meant to do that factory

that Is a nice throttle body-
will everything bolt up for our trucks properly?

Code what?
It's not going to work on the inside of the throttle blades without using a solenoid. The engine vacuum will draw it out, don't waste your time with H2o, use methanol. You must be capable of having a tune for it to run correctly with the methanol.

FYI - SYTY 7th injector don't spray, they drip fuel down into the intake.

Re: Water injection question

I thought the 7th injector uses a regular injector, could even use the stock Sy/Ty injector, & I thought those injectors spray fuel, not drip fuel.

The 7th injector sprays fuel but since it sprays fuel into the IAC passages, it ends up dripping.

correct its under the same pressure as the the other injectors per regulator.

however the TB passage isn't exactly made for it- however however is does work

Re: Water injection question

Yeah, it bolts right up, just like the rest of the TPI style throttle bodies. Looks like its been discontinued though. I've been buying stuff for a turbo 4.3L since '02. Kills me. Other projects come and go, this one stays unfinished.
