www.700r4.com guy knows his shit has put 700r4 behind a big blck making 600 hp and had them last for 1350.00 and actually knows what different in our trans vs the regular 700r4

FWIW, I purchased a tranny that these guys built, not first hand though. I picked it up from a list member.
It had been used for awhile, supposedly around 10-15k, if I recall correctly.
The tranny was smoked. The band was fried (band material flaking off), pump bushing galled, the shift between gears was a smooth as baby food, virtually unnoticeable.

if you do the stage 3 or 4 kit all the parts are the Military Spec parts and those are the strongest parts you can get for a 700r4. He also recomends that you change the fluid often be cause our spooled launces are hell on the fluid even synthetic. He actually knows how we drive these trucks.
