Weird engine bay sounds...

Today some weird sound started coming from the back of my engine bay...


Sounds like a soft helicopter... for lack of a better words...

Kinda like something is spinning inside something and it is rattling...


Its not my fan belt... I can see anything moving from the top side...



Anyone have anything idea what I should look into?

No check engine light... no lack of power... and it makes more noise as you speed up.. it also does it when in park just idling...

sounds like a rod bearing our truck started doing this and we pulled the motor and had it completly rebuilt.it sounds like rebuild time to me.The reason our ty did this was because it dumped almost all of its oil out of the oil adapter then about a month later it started doing what yours is doing.

Well if what NCTyphoonKid said is correct then a simple confirmation would be to cut the oil filter.

New engine... like 1500 miles


maybe the bolts are not tight on the TC?

I just sent it to my mechanic to figure out. I had him get the parts mostly from campbell...


I am working to much to look at it myself...



When driving it to him it kinda started to sound squeaky ..

Its funny I saw this because my ty was doing this and it was a off the wall sound like the flywheel was cracked but worse,turned out the trans bolts were loose big time,We lifted it in the air and left it running and as we tighted the trans the noise went away completly..

Ends up belle tire didn't see that my front drive shaft was coming apart....


That explains why I get a bad vibration at 70+

And no why it is 100 times worse XD
