what balancer to use?

race or get outta the way
ken

I am using an ati balancer.

Not sure if its actually made for this as the the guy i got my motor from said they had to grind down the end of it. Otherwise it was to long and then the pullys wouldnt line up exact. They are exact now as i checked for this on the stand to be sure it was all the way on to the end of the crank

Anyway i marked it with paint so if it ever slips the inner from the outter it will show from the paint marks.

be sure you do this when you install whatever you put on and then you dont have to check for tdc if you think it slipped in the future... the marks will just no longer be lined up!

I read this tip somplace....

Fluidamper here also.
It was the small one, 6 3/8" I think.
Then you can use the Tavia pointer or one of the othres that are out there now.

The small fluidamper and adjustable timing pointer as was mentioned is all you need.

FWIW.. If youre not going to be breaking into the 10s or faster at the track then fluidamper also make a cheaper one called the streetdamper that is the same as the fluidamper but its just not SFI approved.

oh BTW fluidamper makes a lightweight version now too. supposed to be several pounds lighter... not worth the extra $ IMO though...

Hence the above posted part number. Guess I should have elaborated.
