I just checked my cat. Same temp going in as going out. So I guess mine is gutted.

I just went to The Muffler Man and he got it. It's a nice SS one as well.

MySy902 has 2.5 downpipe to 2.5 gutted cat. 2.5 exhaust to muffler. 3" out back.

MyTy0909 has 2.5 downpipe to 3.0 cat. 3.0 exhaust to muffler. 3" out back.

driving/performance, I cant tell a difference between them.

Is yours Cali legal? I bought a Magnaflow 3" and its 49 state legal and has a stamp on the bottom that says "CA" with an "X" through it. Don't know if it would pass. Not sure how often the smog guys look under the truck.

The 3" on MyTy has the same x on it. I might need to change it out when it comes smog time. I don't know how the new STAR station is going to be.
