what gaskets to use

I need the best gaskets for the heads and lower intake any suggestions? Im running l-35s if that matters.

Head gaskets I use Felpro's.. about 35 each

Intake gasket.. stock one from Napa .. about 11 bucks
If you are talking about the head to intake gaskets.. same place.. about 15 bucks.. but I have Vortec heads

cool so the head gaskets are just standard 4.3? and the lower to head are standars 4.3?

no..the HG's are not standard....use a special felpro.....1003 maybe...

Right the headgaskets are not standard.. I use the ones that John is talking about.. I believe.. they are the ones with the fire ring in them.

I can get the number for you once I am back in Tennessee... will not be until Thursday though.

The 1003 is a V8 gasket. I guess what you are talking about is the 1002, at least I used this one. Summit part number FPP-1002.

According to a few people the 1002 is for stock bore and 1032 is for bored .30. I hope this is correct as I think John and a few others told me that.

FWIW, the Victor (OEM) number is 5855 (or HS5855 for the entire head set).

Cool I was right.
Rockville I think its kind of a 50/50 mix of stock or fel pro. I personally like the fel pro and never really liked victor reinz products so thats my reasoning, its a crappy one but thats all I got.

shit - i use felpro for everything i build - i bought oem head gaskets due to a prior thread about this.
oh well - we got 5 bolts a hole, unlike my mustang...
