You have to have A set of planetary gears in the tcase.
Factory ones seem like they hold up pretty well, but if you're making a bunch of power or are replacing an already broken set, then an upgrade would be desirable.
As of right now, I don't know of anybody who is making those planetary gearsets. I'm pretty sure the stuff George Blake had made all sold, and nobody has taken them on just yet (sounds like Jeff it thinking about it, but nothing definite yet).
Oh, and there is an adapter plate that goes between the trans and tcase. Jeff posted a set of prints a while ago. Not sure that anybody has them or is making them currently.

You are correct, Sir, it does look like RPM is selling them. Whether they're in stock or not, I don't know.
I do know that $1250 is pretty stout for parts that don't break all that often and won't make the truck go faster / handle / stop / look better.
Whether the OP needs those parts or not is a completely different matter. However, he will need the 80E / BW4472 adapter plate, which RPM has listed for $195.
