Seriously... I know some of you don't consider it a Sy Ty if the AWD is removed, and it certainly has to have turbo power. For some people it has to have all the stock components (i.e 4L60/700R4, 4.3L V6 etc). Others still would say it's a Ty if it came from the factory as a Ty, regardless of what'd been done to it.
As far as I'm concerned, it's a Ty if it came from the factory that way, regardless of what changes have been made. But I do think that it has to have turbo power and full time AWD for the SPIRIT of the vehicle to be maintained.
I toy with the idea of having a turbocharged 400 sbc with AWD in my Ty someday, even though I'm most likely never going to do it. Why? Because I've got the 400 sbc block sitting in the garage not doing much of anything at the moment.
Before any purists start smacking me around, I did say that I'd most likely never do it, or at least build a clone to do it to instead. :wink:
