What peak boost and RPM should I run with a PTE6152 ---

Hey guys, I am taking the step to get a custom cam and I need to know what to tell the guy the peak boost I will be running. Whats safe with these engines...about 20lbs?

Its a pte6152, trw forged pistons trying for 8.5:1, meth injection, eagle h-beams,ported vortecs, pro magnum 1.6 rr's, morel r.lifters, splayed main caps, and a nitrided stock crank.

I will be using an older FAST to tune with, and it will have a 58mm t.b. , 75# precision injectors, 3000 stall, greddy spec B boost controller, rpm a/a intercooler, and atr headers.

Its been awhile since I have thought about parts on this thing. THANKS for the suggestions ---

I would tell them 25psi, I notice a lot of the GN owners with 6152 don't see any gains past the 23-25psi range.

Cool, 25 it is ... I would guess its just a baseline for them to get me maximum performance at the track, I can always turn it down for the streets and it would still run good.

I also just thought of what RPM I should tell him to redline it at. Would 6k be a good place to go? I know stock these engines dont like much over 5300, lol

If I get the cam to redline at 6k rpms will I have other problems with the Syclone setup?

I know stock they only go around 5300rpm, but I would like mine to rev a little higher. Am I going to cause problems that way? ---

What do your heads flow at different lift's, our your max lift that your valve springs allow? That'll base your redline and the actual grind of your cam.

Talk to Eric from Turbotime. And buy the cam he spec's you.
