What would cause this?

Why would the rockers be coming loose 2 min. after adjusting them?

They are just plain ol' vortec factory rockers


1. back off till tapping
2. tighten till quiet
3. then go 1/2 turn?

By the time I get to the last one, There is one tapping on the first side.

The adjusting nuts have an oblong shape brand new. After they have been tightened and loosened a few times they become circular and no longer lock in place and will back off when pressure from the rocker is applied. Just pick up new ones i think they are $.15 a pc at carquest.

Looked all over the place... can't find M8 x 1.0 that are crimp tops ( found them in 3/8ths )

I would just get them from the dealer. Even if you pay a premium for them its better driving all over the place for dollar or two of parts.
