Whats a 4L80E worth?

I have a 4l80e out of a '98 2500 with 270k on it. Trans still worked fine, maybe a little leak from the front seal.
Its basically starting point for a build. At the rate I'm going I won't use this trans for 10 yrs so I am thinking of trying to sell it. But I don't want to sell it if I'm not going to get much for it, worth more to me to sit than to re buy later.

So to sum it up how much would u pay for a trans like this?

Paid as little as $250, on up to 500.

In our junk yards here you will pay $80.
