Is that "inside" the fuel pump or on the sending unit? ie I would have to replace the pump?
EDIT: there is no restriction on the return line right? Only the FPR restricts... crap I'm confusing myself. What holds the pressure from the rails back to the tank(other than the check valve you said)? When you turn the key off after KOEO how long does it take for the pressure to bleed off?

Assuming no visible leaks you have 3 choices: Fuel pump is bad (check valve), Leaky fuel inj(s), Bad (leaking) fuel pressure reg.
Per the manual the steps are:
1) Test the FP by pinching the PRESSURE LINE with pump running then after line is pinched shut down pump and watch fuel pressure. If it holds pump is bad.
2) Do it again with the return line, if it holds regulator is bad.
3) If it doesn't look for a leaky inj.

This was a Racetronix setup which I did about a year or so ago! I'm glad it was just a hose and not the Walbro.
I changed the FPR and FSU while I was at it. The FSU was making the level bob up and down when you stop or go. So all is fixed the car holds the pressure key on/off and the level is steady and accurate!

Was that the fuel hose that came with the pump? It looks like standard hose (not hi press. fuel inj. hose) and I hope you did put the right hose back on it or you will be doing this again next year (or sooner). If that was the hose that came with the pump, somebody f***** up.

I did one that looked just like that today (on a TBI) but i would mabye even go with some multi purpose hose that will hold like 250 or 300 psi (you can get it at napa) :tup:

I decided it was unnecessary because it's not common for the proper hose to fail like that. I'll go full braided if this ever happens again. But for sure the hose that came w/ the FSU is for EFI pumps.

not that its your problem, but was mine, the diaphram inside the AFPR had a small hole in it, when fuel lines were pressurized the fuel was going thru the hole and up into the vacuum line attached to the AFPR, made for a real rich condition when not under boost. easy to check tho, take vac line off AFPR and turn on fuel pump, if fuel comes out that = bad!
