I have decided to go with nitrous on my carb'd 350 typhoon project.

Wondering which kit you guys think would be better.

This one is cheaper, and easy to install.

Or this one, requiring lots more work to install but wondering if in the end I can make a lot more reliable power.

Hoping to make ~450-500hp out of this thing.

Shouldn't you be able to get 450 500 HP out of a 350 pretty easily without nitrous?

As for me, I would go with the more reliable way. Cheap power mods aslways seem to come back and bite you in the butt in the end.

For a street combo no, unless its a LS1. An old SBC 350 can do 350-400hp with good street manner and moderate budget. Expensive heads, strokers kits, a cam/valvetrain that can rev 6.5-7K rpm would be require for the 450-500hp.

I would put the nx kit. I've helped my friends install a few sets
on fuel injection applications. We took them to the dyno and
the kit put more power to the ground than other kits.
It looks complicated but it's not bad when you get everything laid out. :2cents:

What's this carb'd 350 thing you speak of?

I've read decent stuff on the Nitrous Express stuff.

I would have to go with the NX kit, they're really dumbed down so that even the most novice installer can do the mod. I used an 200hp efi kit on a z28...nice and easy 3 hour install with all hidden components.
