white box on back of ecu

does anyone know what the little white plastic box on the back of the ecu is? is it the drac for the trans? or what, any help is appreciated.

DRAC, goes to speedo, cruse control, etc.

Digital Ratio Adapter Controller. It takes the information from the vehicle speed sensor and converts it to information used by the ecm, cruise control and speedometer.

Digital Ratio Adapter Controller. It takes the voltage pulses from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and outputs the signals to the speedometer, Electronic Control Module (ECM), cruise control module and the Rear Wheel Antilock Brake (RWAL) module. There is absolutely NO reason to remove it.
