Anyone use this controller. I have hooked it up and am connected to it but the controller I have I bought used and have a couple unmarked wires I would like to know what are. I checked the book it came with but can not figure out exactly what they are.

Thanks

Can you take some pictures? I'll get mine out of the box and see if I can help you.

Im running that control as well. Take some pics or accurately describe the wires and we can prolly tell you what theyre for.

Thanks guys, I will get some pictures tomorrow. I had to install a heater core in wife's Impala SS. SUCKS ! ! !

The TCI unit is hooked up all but a couple wires. I will get a picture of them and describe what color and where they are located in the harness for you.

Thanks

Where is everyone mounting their tci unit ? Are you guys using the dist+tps adapter harnesses , or just splicing .

Since I removed the jack and its cover from the cab I used the two existing bolts that are there to hold an aluminum bracket I fabbed up (bracket=piece of .125 alum plate with a 90* brake in it). The harness goes arcross the cab to the drivers side and through a hole I drilled in the factory drain plug thats behind the drivers seat (the plug is easily swapped for one without a hole in case I ever return the truck to stock/sell it.....LOL).

I tapped into the harness at the ECM for the TPS, ground, and tach signal and used an existing switched 12v at the fuse box for power. Be aware that I ran into HUGE RPM fluctuations when I tapped into the ignition circuit under the hood and since the WOT tables are calc'ed off of RPM in WOT it caused all kinds of issues until I found a clean tach signal.

Re: Who all uses the TCI trans controller here?

I already ran a fused 10ga power wire into the cab to handle all my electrical accessories . I really think I am going to get the extra harnesses for the dist+tps ,it makes for easy install and I would hate to mistake a wire if i was tracing them back to the ecm .

Good idea on the unit mounting , I'm going to get going on that in the next couple of days . Thanks .

i spliced my wiring into the stock wiring down in the harness that runs along the firewall. my box is mounted on the drivers fenderwell right against the firewall.
