The owners name is Dwight. He works at Lee Brothers Performance in Red Deer. The Sy is # 1067, and he imported it from SoCal 4 months ago.Motor/trans/T-case and front diff have been rebuilt. Everything is bone stock. Oh, the rear diff needs to be rebuilt, but is driveable.

He also owns a Red/Grey 92 Ty, but I forget the vin. It's also for sale for 29K

Ahhh,

Must be the same red gray that was listed earlier this summer in red deer. After a bit of internet sleuthwork turns out he bought the Ty in Socal a few months before for a whole lot less money.

Methinks someone is trying to build a massive retirement fund buying and selling syty's :rotf:

Either way nice trucks.

Tony, I think you are right. He was ambiguous about why he has been importing these trucks. This is his third Ty and first Sy.
While I certainly can't fault him for trying to make a few dollars and saving people the hassle of importing them into Canada, the resale is rather high, especially for high mileage trucks.

Also, he has no interest in the local Sy/Ty peeps and what they doing with them.. That alone differentiates him from the people that love these trucklets, and just another opportunistic individual riding the wave of interest and enthusiasm that others have generated north of the border.

1000 miles and counting..
Re: Who's Sy is this?

I saw this truck in Red Deer a couple weeks ago at Canadian Tire. Looks good.
