Makes a person wonder, doesn't it??? The truck still runs so they did something right....how well it runs will be determined when the truck arrives in a couple days :tup:.

OMG it's a 92 Syclone. YAY! :woot:

Will post results ASAP.Hopefully Shaun will actually run this truck @ the strip,unlike the 3k mile "monster" he brought out last time that just sat in the pits. :roll:

how funny. Thats the place that is coating my DP. The guy said he did a few syclones. He has a small shop 20min from my house. He said he can do some sweet porting to my truck.
He did the exhaust on Jeremys truck too. (mrweelr)

Does he do the coating there or does he farm it out?

I'm more interested in if he does the Cermakrome. I want to have the intake, fuel rails & TB elbow done.
If he doesn't do it, the next closest place is Fresno & I really don't feel like driving 5 hours down & back to drop this stuff off.

looks like he does it there. He is doing a 2 part coating on my DP. With one coat on the inside. He said it holds the heat better then ceramic?? Cost me 120$ to do the DP. He said he would port and coat the turbo and manifolds and x-over for 500$. But I had rpm do them. Guy was nice and sounded like he knows his stuff. He showed me around his shop. Said he does a lot of bike engines. BTW its by the san jose airport.

I like the personal touch when having stuff like this done. You get a chance to meet these guys and establish a rapport. Sometimes that personal contact helps out in the future.

Anyways, I decided to take it to the place that coated my exhaust parts last time. Much closer, only 20 minutes away.
They don't do Cermakrome anymore, to expensive & not enough demand at those high prices.
So I decided on Super Chrome finish on the Pontiac intake, fuel rails, TB elbow, alt./PS bracket, oil pan w/rails & the dipstick & tube for total of $333.
Should look good with all the Earl's black ano-tuff fittings I just bought.

PS, no more Dupli-color blue anodized paint on the Sy engine. Black, sliver & chrome, nothing else.

Adam(Ivanko) knows the previous owner. Maybe you get get the guy's contact info from him and ask him what he thought about RMI.l
