I have a noise coming from the driver side of the engine block. Sounds kinda like an exhaust leak but also has a knock to it. Checked compression and did a leakdown which are both fine. I havent gone into the block yet, I just rebuilt this thing. It was running fine for a week of mabye only 30 total minutes of drive time and then started making noise. It would run like a raped ape with just a little throttle, now the boost is spiking and im not going anywhere. A guy at the engine shop said it could be exhaust back pressure messing with the valves. Could a vacume problem cause a false reading w/ the turbo also?? Just to be on the safe side i will pull the pan and check the rods. I pulled the heads and had them pressure checked just in case, they are fine. Damn this is so frustrating..
I also checked the manifolds and there is no cracks.
