Will an AMDD 8389 memcal work for a Syclone?

I have a memcal labeled AMDD 8389. It's from a 1988 N body, quad 4 engine, 3 speed automatic. The numbers 68767 8746 are printed on the memcal body. I remember seeing a cross reference for memcals (maybe from Ron Gregory?), but can't seem to find it now.

Thanks for any help.

The Quad4 used the same ECM, but the MEMCAL is vehicle-specific. The ESC circuitry is specific to each motor, and obviously the program in the PROM would be different.

Some motors shared the same esc circuitry, IIRC. And I was hoping this was one of them. I was planning on reburning the eprom or installing a socket.

Thanks.

check the number on the esc circuitry itself, i *really* doubt it's similar. The syty is different from the regular 4.3's let alone a completely different animal

Jim,

I've checked all my memcals:

1145180 is the number printed on the ESC of the SyTy memcal (Chip is AYBN 1616 4174)

2HB011 is the number printed on the ESC of the Turbo Sunbird memcal (Chip ALBK 4407)

1C1070 is the number printed on the ESC of the Quad 4 memcal (Chip ARPZ 6720)

HTH,
