Winstorm Advisor. Any Historical Interest?

Re: Winstorm Advisor. Any Historical Interest?

I think I may have an article or 2 in an issue regarding Nats 2000 or something that I wrote for Curtis. I think I have those issues as well if you guys dont have them.

It appears that Vol 7, #1 Summer, 2000 was the last issue published. So if it was nats 2000, and was published, either this edition was very late, or your memory is fuzzy, or 7, #1 was not the last published.

See what you can come up with, Adam. Any info is useful and welcome.

I have a big canon scanner at work and I can also do in color. Let me know if you need my help. I can if just maybe bind them which will then be a booklet. I need to see the volumes and calculate the amount of pages and go from there.

Just keep me posted!

Might have been Nats 99.... its been a long long time :p

I'll do some digging, I have about 7 paper boxes that are completely full of syty stuff, so might take me a day or 3.

I believe the first year to be skipped was 2010. They were every year from 1998-2009. Then 2010 got skipped, and now it's biennial. I attended 99, 2000, and 01. 1999 had 100 SyTy's in attendance. It had the first side-by-side AWD 10-second run . And a side-by-side Marlboro Exhibition run. If that's the year Adam wrote about, and he can find it, you can read all about it. Cool stuff.

That's interesting. Did DaveP ever get these scanned and published online?

(By the way, not mine, just thought someone would be interested). I would be interested in contributing towards making these available to the community.

I hope we can get them all up on here. It looks like a cool piece of nostalgia.

Was digging through my magazine totes and found all my Winstorm Advisor issues. Have all of them ever printed. Was looking for a 1987 issue of Turbo magazine. I have all issues from 1984 till the magazine ended.
