Wiring IC Spal fan???

I just received my 6.5" Spal intercooler fan from Mattson's Radiators. I'm going to wire it with a relay since it draw nearly 6 amps. I was wondering what would be a good activation wire under the hood to tap into to activate the relay to power the fan? Thanks.

I ran it straight to the battery for the power and ground. Put some bosch relays and inline fuse holders in there as well. Switch was under the dash.

Did you just get 1 fan, or the set of 2?

I was thinking about the IC pump power wire. I guess that is what I'll probably do. I only bought one fan. I'm want to see how well I liked it before I bought another.
Anyone see any MAT air temp reductions with these fans? I thought it would be particularly useful keeps the IC cool in the staging lanes at the dragstrip.

If you want to add a switch, I put a switch on the ground side of the switching relay, so I can turn them off, Only run with the pump is on and the switch is on.

Works fine if you have a hotwire for the pump.

oh and my 2 fans soaked up over 25amps on startup.. Ive got a 30 amp fuse in there now and working fine for the last year or so.

Would you have a pic of your fan setup to the CCHE...just curious since I have put on a custom intercooler scoop but would like to keep CCHE cool between stoplights.....

It's close enough, why not just run it to the battery?

Here's how mine looked when finished:
