Well, as some may know, I got my Ty running recently. It's been a long haul for sure. Almost a whole year since I have driven it. I have been driving it here and there around the block since a) its was running like shit and I was working out bugs and b) It's still on garage insurance and has expired tags. I helped a buddy of mine work on his Ty today. He took me and my wife out to dinner for helping out. We took his truck and I was helping him program his EBC and we were making sure the work we did worked:lol: Well I got a big bug bite and just had to drive the TY. So we get in and it was dark outside. I was so excited to drive since I had figured out my tach issue I didn't know what to do with myself. So we go for a ride. On our way back up the hill my friend says "dude give it some ****ing gas already!! So I get on it kind of nervous. We hit 5 psi and the truck just pulled super hard and the hood came up and smashed the windshield. There was literally about 10 seconds before we both yelled HOLY SHIT!!! All I could think of was that I hope to god my hood is ok. So on our way back up we both just started laughing our asses off. Deep down inside I felt like a total moron because I knew the hood wasn't locked. But since I got so hyper like a kid who just ate a box of Froot Loops I just jumped in and totally spaced it out. Here are pics, it obviously smashed the windshield but it also broke my hood strut which is fine with me. Scratched the back side of the cowl but other than that all seems well.
Guess I better sell some hydra boost kits to pay for a new windshield:lol:
