Current 2 5/8 Auto-Meter mechanical vac/boost (30hg-30lbs) gauge is sticking. Anyone got one? Used OK as long as it actually works.

TIA

Re: WTB Boost gauge

I would contact Autometer before throwing in the towel first... Had an Autometer oil pressure gauge on my old daily driver that two winters' worth of road salt did a number on the pressure sender

I contacted Autometer about purchasing a new one and the tech just asked me for my mailling address so that they could send me a new one free of charge .

Nice to know that some companies are still willing to go the extra mile for their customers

Re: WTB Boost gauge

I can also vouch for Autometer. I had 2 boost gauges go out of calibration. They replaced them, no questions asked. A+ customer support.

Cool, I'll give 'em a call.

I have a Z-series Autometer boost gauge sitting around that I can bring to the track if you would like one for free and your willing to wait. LMK

Re: WTB Boost gauge

Wow! A grand for gauges is a bit out of the budjet. What I'd like is good old fashioned SW winged gauges. Direct reading, mechanical, always on. But that was the good ol' days I guess.

Re: WTB Boost gauge

why friend installed Prosport Gauges in his turbo vehicle. The boost runs ofj the map sensor so its always as accurate as your Map singal is. Quite nice and they have a button to refer to the last runs value. i think they were not very much either. honestly more accurate than any vacuum actuated model

Re: WTB Boost gauge

Datamaster pulls its boost number from the MAP as well. That's what I've been using for the time being.

Re: WTB Boost gauge

OK, worked on the truck most of the day changing the ignition switch and then doing a couple of test runs. Didn't call AutoMeter. Will call them Monday, depending on what they have to say, I'll be back to pick one of these up.

Really appreciate all the offers and ideas!

Thanks,
