I put a thread up about 6 mons ago, and there were minimal hits.

Im looking for a FPR.

if anny one can drum up anything else that be great. Just stuff comes up and goes.

Got a non-response on a KB FPR. theres been a few.

I was able to grab some items. but i do need a FPR. testing the waters.

Would like to see if anyone would like to part with anything else

why you need a kennebell unit, there are plenty of other shops that sell them.

On a recent build thread here , one typhoon owners old afpr possibly leaked causing a large engine fire . If your just looking to save 20-30 bucks on a used afpr ,i can understand that . My Advice would be to buy one of those new and see if you can save that money elsewhere .

They havent made syty parts for years . I would relate this to buying a used 10 year old tire and then wanting to test its performance .

well i just finished building a 67 plymouth gtx. most of the original stuff i used was 40 some years old.

Nuts, bolts heads.. 440 engine block..


I guess a kenne bell fuel pressure regulator will prove me wrong

That was a good apples to oranges comparison . lol .
I do hope your not proven wrong though , making it this many years so far , i wouldnt want your streak to come to an end.

5-8 psi plymouth fuel pressure versus the 44+ syty fuel pressure is just one of the reasons why i mentioned a new small part is worth thinking about . Sorry for wanting you to deviate from the older kenne bell parts . After the success of their kaboom chip , i should have realized why their afpr are so sought after .


Also I dont want to come off as a smart ass , but wouldnt all , not just most of the original parts that you used , be 40 some years old . Its not like the "original" 67 parts were made in any other year than 66-67 .

If I remember correctly, the kb regulator was a stocker that was modified with a different lid with an adjustment screw. There are much better options.

Are you sure?

I checked the historical section, there is a kenne bell book. Theres a large article on the actual item I am talking about and looking for. I do believe you may be mistaken.

I might be, it was a long time ago when I bought some of the junk they were selling.....I was your age and you were 5.

If I remember correctly, the kb regulator was a stocker that was modified with a different lid with an adjustment screw. There are much better options.

You don't remember correctly. It was a machine part with the halfs put together with 6 allen screws if I recall right. I'm just to lazy to go out and look at the truck right now. It's blue by the way.:tup:

You are correct. The one I was thinking about was the ATR fpr. ooops

However here is a pic of some carnage back in 1997. The truck had a kb chip at the time.

OK for the record. Im only looking for the FPR. I know for a fact its called the BIG BOY and 2x the size of a stock bosch unit.

Im not intrested in a kaboom chip. I have heard alot on there chips.


ATRs is definatly the TOP HAT style. One that is designed to be butchered. I had attempted to do one for my car and it was a piece of crap. I had ended up cutting the dam thing apart and it was vehicle spesfic. THE stock FPR i had cut so when things did not go right, I had to source out another simmilar style fpr and it was a bunch of crap. Not a big fan of the TOP hat style. being that you have to cut the thing apart.

So my im curious on those that have them. Whats the big deal? are they sitting in the box ready to be sold becasue they no good?

Are they on the trucks working?

I now know atleast as many people as i can count on my one hand have these.

im guessing 2 of you currently have them running in the trucks, and 2 more want to sell them.

Just trying to get clarityy on why i should not try to follow through with it. Im just trying to source out some parts. Thats all.

Not to flame you, but the FPR was not called the BIG BOY. The BIG BOY term only applied to the KB Exhaust System and the Intercooler System that they had as stated in the catalog.

Sy2455. You may be right. Last time i checked the FPR was alot bigger than the stock so i would consider it a big boy. But your right ok. I used the wrong name. I do have all the other big boy shit tho.

No Guaranteed, but if you are that set on a KB FPR. I know the Machinest that made them for KB and he may still have a few , I could check with him to see if he has 1. At one time he was willing to sell the program that he was making them from and noone was interested in it.
