Looking for this gun - Taurus M380 5 round .380ACP revolver.

Tough to find locally and I know it's not easy to just ship it to me, but if anyone can locate one cheap (looking for a bargain used one), LMK.....I can wait.

Blued or Stainless (bead blasted, TBH) is fine.

Re: WTB: Taurus M380 Handgun

Phil, thanks for all the help. Good looking out. My dad is going to a show in a couple of weeks in FL and I'm going to one in Savannah around the same time. If we come up dry, I may have to try gunbroker.

Thanks for all the help.

My bro just purchased a Taurus Judge.....shoots .410 shotgun shells, for home protection when he's at work. Bad Ass piece!

You guys and you're 380s
At least that one won't jam lol
Look at the ballistics from a .380 acp compared to a .38sp +p

Then look at the S&W 642 airweight .38 (Thats what I had at BG)
http://www.gunbroker.com/Firearms/BI.aspx?Keywords=642
and then there's the Ruger LCR 38 or 357 since you have big manly hands.
http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=ruger+LCR
There is even a 22LR LCR for plinking.

That's not the point. We have PILES of 380 ammo now, my wife really likes the 380 caliber, and it has plenty of stopping power for anyone with a pair of hands and eyes. These guns are for her (though I may carry the revolver occasionally due to it's lightweight), so I look for what she wants.

So it fits great in her purse along side your balls?

Well said from the guy who drove to Orlando to not attend the 2008 Shindig. :D

Don't get cut throwing stones in that glass house of your's.

In all seriousness, if she wants a gun that'll help her feel more secure or one that she feels she can carry more easily and use more confidently, I'll find it. If that's being whipped, then call me a eunuch. :D

And anyone who has met my wife knows that the only purse in our house belongs to my 2 y/o daughter's Minnie Mouse doll.

The .380 isn't a bad round, especially with a good hollow point projectile... It has its place.... Remember, it's all about shot placement...

What do you normally carry Hood? Having this dilemma right now. I am always looking on craigslist and armslist for guns anymore, but haven't seen any Taurus M380's around.

Before getting my carry permit, I kept an S&W M&P 9mm in the glovebox of my daily. Once I got my carry permit, I sold that gun (it's fairly heavy and not fun to carry) and got an S&W 640 (similar to Jason's gun he mentioned above). I loved that gun, but my Dad loved it more, so I gave it to him for Father's Day and got a Nano. I still have the Nano and carry it occasionally (it's 9mm, won't snag, and is as reliable as a hammer).

I recently got a Sig P250 that I really like and carry from time to time (not so bad with a TCD holster), but it is big, very heavy, and obvious (but dammit does it make you feel like Robocop) so I rarely carry it. In the end, I'll probably carry the 380ACP Hellcat (with a Talon wallet holster or PocketShot) that my wife currently has as it's only 9oz or so (unloaded) and hammerless.

Confused? :D

I have that gun! I may be willing to part with it. Not many rounds through it.

Nope, I got it all. I currently have more guns in my truck than I should, but probably what I will leave in there/carry some, is the XD9 that I picked up recently. I am debating on a EDC, but think I am leaning towards a Kel Tec PF-9 with the knife clip. I thought I wanted a LC9, cuz I love 9mm and Ruger, but I do not like the feel of that gun very much. Was leaning towards a Taurus PT709 slim, but I think I am digging the PF-9 a lil more. If I go bigger, I want a Taurus G2, but I am trying to go smaller than that.

Glad to hear that you like your Sig P250...that is another one that I have thought about picking up. The problem is I keep finding everything except what I need to be buying. In the last couple of weeks I have bought a FEG Armory P9R, a SA XD9, a model 94 .30-.30, and a Taurus 669 .357 magnum that was kind of beat up...all of which are still in my truck.

I, too, have a nano and love it. Great gun (for what it is). My choice pistol is my five seven though.
