Wtb turbo rebuild service

I pity da fool
I am looking to have my stock 100,000 mile turbo rebuilt. I have looked into online places that do this kind of service, but am kind of leary. Over the last couple months I have purchased a lot of parts from members of this forum. Everything has been as stated and priced very fair. I would like to continue to support this forum and its members. I am looking for a visual as well as a mechanical rebuild, meaning the housings and center section will need to be cleaned. I am not sure if anybody on this forum does these kind of services, but figured I would try here first.

Do it yourself, its not too hard to do. There are tons of videos on youtube on how to do it.

$100 that's what I spent rebuilt turbo myself.
Sportsmachine will cost you $500+ for just rebuild.

So do it yourself. It's very easy

We rebuild the turbos in house. Cost is $250 for a stock rebuild using genuine mitsubishi complete rebuild components. We offer porting and coating services as well.

Re: Wtb turbo rebuild service

Does the 250 include cleaning of the housings? I do not really need any fancy coating. That price seems more than fair. Do I just send it to you with a note in the box that contains my info. The turbo is the last item I need to finish off my engine. I am new to the whole turbo thing, but I like to try and learn about things I own or work on. I considered buying a new turbo. But after a little research it seems that the aftermarket turbo center sections are not the quality of the Mitsubishi units. I looked at a new factory Turbo and it's 3 grand. A comparable aftermarket unit is one third of the price. So that's how I came to the conclusion to get a rebuild. Am I far off in my logic?

Yeah you quoted me $500+ Rebuild and shipping cost both way. That's what you told me in your own words.

Your logic is sound. Yes, we clean the housings and center section to make them look as good as possible and ensure everything is clean for proper reassembly. We clean all the threaded holes and the studs to the downpipe. Shipping is additional to send it back to you. We use USPS large flat rate with insurance $25.

The price for a stock rebuild has always been $250, plus shipping for over 3 years now. Batmowheel turbo upgrade is $400, and with the rebuild brings the total up to $650. Coatings and porting is additional. If the turbo needs any additional parts, ie new shaft, center section, etc which we asssess after the turbo gets here and gets dismantled, we let the customer know and decided what direction to go.
