They eventually made us race the 1/8 because of the wind. It was a steady 30mph headwind. I gotta figure out how the previous owners were runnin high 7's in the 8th. I did have alot of people in the staging lane ask me if it was a real typhoon, what the heck was it, and did it have a 350 in it!:rotf:

Those last 2 passes are great being that you didn't have the best 60'. What are your mods?

13.3 1/4th mile run with a 1.9 60ft is not to shabby. Personally I think you could really improve your launch. Typhoons should be getting at least 1.7-1.6 60". If you can nail a good launch down, for example improving your 60" to a 1.6 60" on your best run your looking at a 12.7 1/4th mile run. For every tenth you knock off your 60" time you will knock off two tenths off your 1/4th run.

Re: delmar results

Tom,
just saw this and as others have said the 60' times is where the biggest difference would've come from. I was runnin nitto 555r's all the way round so it hooked up pretty good, 1.65's.
I was also running the dump open and cooling the truck off real good and running race fuel with a little extra boost.
I know all this does ya no good now since its broke but just some good info for when you get er back together.

yeah I figured it had to do with the tires(1.9) and i totally forgot the dump. still have it apart and havent figured out what im doin with it yet(head options) since we gotta get a mini van so im kinda lookin to find the best route for the money. you run the t/a yet?
