New Best 1/4 mile time

I ran my Syclone at the track last night. I ran a new best of 11.945@114.87mph with a 1.656 60'. I am still running ~14.5psi. The changes that I made from the last time is adding 4 degrees of timing, tune is cleaner (though not perfect) and I used my MSD 2 step. The 2 step made it real easy to have consistent launches. Though on one of my runs, I forget to switch the 2 step off on the launch :lol: This time I didn't have the sand (traction) issue sticking to my tires like I had last time; I was prepared with gloves and a steel brush (I didn't need brush) to clean the tires off.

I know their is still more in the truck at this boost level. I am still getting false knock on the launch. I am not quite what is causing it, my DP was hitting the frame and I repaired that issue from the last time. I think I can improve my tune and launch as well. Anyways, I will probably make some more tweaks and bring it back to the track before I raise the boost.

11.963@114.76 mph, unfortunately my laptop turned off on this run, so I did not get a datalog.

12.051@109.95mph, I over boosted to 18 psi this run and the engine misfired from being too rich at 100mph. It scared me for a second. It was a tuning mistake on my part. I had to scramble around after the run to correct it in the tune; smart phones are great for times like this, I searched around syty.net and code$59 forums to correct my issues.

Nice work!

Have you got a build thread/ details on your build?

Only 14.5 psi? You're going to be a whole lot faster in no time at all I suspect!

Nice job Dave...I think Im running the same cam in the ty. I also advanced the timing 4* and it really woke it up.

I was going to make a post but I had a hetic week with a last minute work trip to Atlanta and I wasn't even sure if the exhaust shop was going to be done with my truck on Friday. I will make a post next time. I did meet another Typhoon owner Steve and his son at the track.

Very nice Dave. IMHO that is a killer run with only 14+# of boost. I'm in the middle of fixing a DP hitting the frame issue as well. 1.6 anything is a good 60' and anything under 10 at a 1000' is also very good. 2.97 1000 - 1320 could be a tad quicker. Get that thing to pull a little harder at the top end and you'll be well into the 11's. (Check your IAT's, if they'up at the far end, see if you can bring them down a bit with the alky and that might do it.)

When I have a chance, I am going to further analyze my datalogs.

I don't know how much more I can improve my 60' but I have adjustable shocks and coil over springs at all corners. I have not done any adjustment of my suspension for drag racing.

Nice Dave! So how much Total Advanced Timing are you running WOT? I'm still tuning mine, we have similar builds and running 14psi right now.

Right now I am at 19 degrees WOT, I think I can run more. I scrambling around just to add couple more degrees on thursday. I was going to add more timing at the track but I was satisfied when I ran the 11.9, so I didn't push it further.

Here is my best run, I did sneak a peak at the scoreboard, so I knew I had run an 11 second pass just as I was passing the finish line.
