Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Thank you! I used Duplicolor Lacquer Satin Black cans. I first used Degreaser and Pressure washer to get most of the Grime off. Then wire brushed to bare metal. I then used Duplicolor Rust Prohibitor and Primer. Turned out Smooth  Next I have to do the firewall.

Dude you have a lot of patience. If I can't slather something on top of grease and grime I just let everything leak for rust prevention.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Painted the Lower intake Black for a new look on Ty 2.0. Should help make the Brodix heads POP.

Got the Pass Header modified by Sound Performance where I get all my Fabricating done. Had to Reposition #4 Primary tube to clear the Spark plug and also Notch the Collector. Work of Art Welds! My truck will be a Donor come Spring/Summer to build a sick set of Headers built by SP. The owner Larry used to own a Ty and told me he always wanted to build a Turbo setup.

The work on the headers looks great. You really are good at getting things just right.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Thanks to those who gave my suggestions on Modifying the Trans Tunnel body seam for the 80E. Made several relieve cuts and pounded it flat, came out pretty well. Also, Painted the Firewall and will be wetsanding and buffing it to get rid of some orange peel.

Got some goodies for Xmas, Pioneer Balancer, Brodix Head Valve cover gaskets, ARP Intake Manifold, Headers, Trans Bellhousing, and Torque Converter Bolts. Replacing my Comp 875 lifters with these LS7 Lifters.

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Swapped the Tcase Input shaft for the Mark Williams Shaft from Eric the other day. Everything went smooth as I thought it was goin to be more labor intensive. Received Cometic Head Gaskets from Rob and switched up the Front Suspension to JSM Viking Double Adjustable Coilovers.

Quick! Somebody stop this guy from making the cleanest most fastest Typhoon. Haha. Nice work Sean

Hey when you say swapped to the Viking shocks, You didn't ditch the afco's did you? Do you have a source or part numbers for those front shocks and springs?

:rotf: thanks! The AFCO setup is sold by Sportmachines, I don't have the part numbers.

No, what I'm asking is do you have the part numbers for the Viking shocks and springs I'm looking to swap a set up from the Afcos over to the Viking shocks

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

Installed the Viking Coilovers and Fit great. Finally received my RPM Brodix head Valve covers which was well worth the wait. Will get gettin Catch can bungs welded on soon and and a nice touch to the Valve covers with somethin I have planned. My Engine Builder sent me a Pic of my Custom DSS .010" High Compression Pistons yesterday. These Pistons feature a X-shaped groove which sweeps excess fuel and foreign matter in the oil drainback holes on the downstroke and into the side relief on the upstroke. This sweeping effect keeps the debris from getting trapped between the piston skirt and the cylinder wall, where it would normally cause scoring damage.
