yeah, I miss the parking lot more than the track, lots of memories there. None of the other locations Ive been to have yet to provide the same atmosphere as Double Tree. I could really care less about KCIR, except the fact that now theres no way we'll be back in KC unless we just do Auto Cross and go out street racing :rotf:

Heartland Park Topeka

Autocross, road corse, dirt track, 1/4mile all in one. Lawrence is inbetween Topeka and KC it would only be about 30-40mins to the track and the city. But im sure its $$$.

They just added a road course to the kansas speedway as well. Although I'm not sure what the price to rent/run on it are.

Keep up the good work guys. With the US split 27 states to the west and 23 to the east, we have narrowed the Nats location to one of 21 remaining states (the CPT has confirmed GA and PA are NOT the state for the event). Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island are not in the mix so that leaves 16. Hmmmmmm, which one is it :dunno:

VT still a contender?

We could do some off road rally racing instead of 1/4 drags

I really want to attend this year but there is no way i'm doing another 23 hour one way drive. I hope its not as far as Bowling green. Even though i had an OUTSTANDING time it just was to far for me.

23 hours to Bowling Green? Did your GPS route you through Winnipeg to get there? Google shows 13ish hours to BG from your house.

Or did you mean 23 hours to Denver, CO (where NATS was in 2011)?

Ah hah! So, you do not deny BG?! You're even googling it from NY!

We'll finally settle the "corvette-camaro" thing by seeing them live and in person!! ;)

No Bowling green!!! It was suppose to be no more then 15 hours. I went through Virginia going so high in elevation i had basically no to little power in my Tahoe which was the tow vehicle. Who the hell knew that was going to happen. I was 6 or so hours away from my house and i didn't have an idea why it was happening. Pulled over checked everything asking myself why, why, why. Of course just said screw it and continued to drive and then i figured it out. Live and learn, will plan a different or at least more then one route for future travels. Also if im driving straight for 10 hours or more im stopping and staying overnight. Coming home i feel a sleep at the wheel thank god my wife yelled and i was able to get my crap back together. Pulled over cleaned my ass and what was left in my underpants and rested for about one hour. When i got home its was 9:30am and my kids were awake. HAHAHA

Re: '13 Nats

It was a touch over 13 hours down to BG from here and was a pretty nice ride all in all. Especially south of Indiana... :D
