1995 S-10 to Syclone Conversion?

Hey there Chevy Enthusiasts,
Ricers suck we all know it.......and now i am a man on a mission.
I wanna convert my stock 1995 S-10 LS Ext. Cab to a Syclone.
I wanna know what i need to do and how i need to go on doing it.
-What can i do with my engine? Shold i get it machined and start throwing Syclone parts and such into it? Or shoulda i go ahead and get a Syclone engine and make a transfer? Where can i find the parts i need, the manifold is one of a kind and a pain to find.
-And the wonderful AWD tranny..Its beautiful, how would i go on doing that and where would i get the parts.
My goal is to put all Imports to shame representing a domestic Chevy in the world of racing. My AIM SN is Quicksurfer123 and my E-Mail address is Quicksurfer123. This is my first real build so bare with me.
Thanks guys! CHEVY......LIKE A ROCK

IMO I would look for wrecked Syclone or Typhoon and swap the motor/tranny/awd from that. If your truck isn't 4wd, then you will need to swap a 4x4 frames to get the awd to easily bolt in.

Thanks guys its been great...you all have helped out tremendously. What im gonna do is keep my engine right now and do some bolt ons, get it machined, and some minor or needed internals. At the same time im gonna get a new block, probably send it in to get machined and build me a new Sy/Ty engine along with some 2wd tranny cuz it is a 2wd truck, maybe a th700 if it comes in manual rwd, but i need help on finding that notorious manifold and electrical(harness, puter, etc.) Can i please get more feedback on suggestions and help finding what i need. I got the engine figured out just need a reliable tranny, maybe even carbon driveshaft, and ohhhh the harness and electrical.
Thanks Again Guys!!!

I would not even bother with a syty manifold.
Use 96+ vortec heads and Edelbrocks new manifold for them. Convert it to EFI and use a aftermarket computer or a syty computer for a budget build.

Get a junkyard 749 ECM and build your own harness.

Yes but like I said you need to convert it to EFI by welding in injector bungs and using a throttle body of some type.

A syclone powered rwd s-10 is going to be a burn out machine. A syty motor makes over 400ft-lbs of torque stock and witha few mods is making close to 500ft-lbs. A stock Syclone motor make more torque than most street 350 v8's with mods and even a good portion of the stoker 383's. That torque also kills transmissions. I know people who have taken out their front drive which make their truck. The truck spins the tires like crazy, include the getting sideways on the 2-3 shift on the higway. This almost make WOT acceleration useless at speed under the speed limit. IMO for a street truck, I would do supercharger or v8 conversion. I think the only reason I would do a syty conversion into a 2wd truck, is if you wanted to make a race truck running slicks. If you really set in converting a newer body sytle into a syclone power find your self a 4x4 truck to start with.

Totaly agree, i'm running RWD for the moment due to my front shaft U-joints broke. My truck goes sideways if i punch it at 30-40mph, even shirp the tires when shifting in second @ half trhottle, kind of a PITA. :(

You both are probably very right about the burnout and overpower. As for the transmission im getting a racing th700 supplied by colbys and a set of ZQ8 Corvette racing rims, not the 16 inch u find on syclones but 19x11 in the back and 18x8.5 or 9.5. Yes it is going to eventually make it to the racing quality and yes thats why im doing it.

Thanks BOYS

19x11 aren't going to make a difference. The stiffer/short side wall make it worse. If you look at recent posts, we have found the 17x11 with seem to make traction worse than a good set of tire on the stock rims.

Well im sure i can fix the spin out problem with some kinda a suspension set up or tuning the tranny right........."theres more than one way to skin a cat"
