the whole drop in a Sy/Ty motor is good but alot cheaper and easier i think to add a turbo to you existing 4.3. However i have been wondering is there any major diffrences between a 4x4 S-10/Sonoma and a Sy/Ty front suspension? As far as i have been able to find out there r only ride hight and spring rate, or torsion bar diffrences.Any further info will be greatly appretiated. My plan is convert a 4x4 S-10 to an AWD small block 5 spd truck.

hey DonHo, i've got a few questions, was your truck origanly MPI? i'm about to build a turbo blazer from scratch and haven't been able to find any info on MPI S series 4.3l's in the 98 year range. also what program are you using to tune the computer? Thanks in advance

only Sy/Ty's came with MPI in any S-10/Sonoma.but here is a link to a site that makes MPI setups for 4.3 V6 engines.

Sorry just saw this post. I remember very well. It was a long road but I love it (Mustangs don't though ). The truck looks very stock, but is gaining a very nasty rep. BTW I have eaten a lot of rice here lately too

Sorry for not responding sooner but I am not on this site very much. I can't help you with the suspension question, but I think I have seen that answered here before. I would suggest using the search feature or ask on another thread. There is also a guy named "Coyote" on here that did the same thing you are trying to do. Might be a good idea to PM him. I am using the CATS program to tune my truck and a Boost Retard System to add further control against spark knock. After my last build I haven't had to deal with ANY engine knock at all. Running about 15 lbs a boost with the stock turbo right now. I have a 77mm turbo but I haven't had time to install it. The truck is extremely strong right now, but I am still tuning. I know it will do more. Don

Hey Don got some great news from the doc yesterday. No surgery for now. The thyroid seems to be receeding and I've started to gain weight and sleep better. I have made some changes in my diet and
have started taking some herbal medication plus I'm going to the gym and got a new job. Still waiting for my new inline pump to arrive. Life is good again! PEACE>Tony

Hey Don got some great news from the doc yesterday. No surgery for now. The thyroid seems to be receeding and I've started to gain weight and sleep better. I have made some changes in my diet and
have started taking some herbal medication plus I'm going to the gym and got a new job. Still waiting for my new inline pump to arrive. Life is good again! PEACE>Tony

I *think* the SYTY may have had a different torsion bar keys. The torsion bars themselves may be different indicated by the color of tape wrapped around the bar towards the front.

However, I have no proof of the above statement.
