If not, then you need to log/record what actual wideband o2 readings you have at each level. I am by far NOT a MAF expert though. I do know the syty ecm decently well and how to tune it though.
Guess the end of day story is what is the AFR running, and knock.
JS Manufacturing said:Would just hate to see you lose another motor trying to prove everybody wrong that the 97 ecm can do it. (which I agree with enough R&D, money, time and motors could probably happen).
I am with you in the "Tell me I can't do something and I will prove you wrong!" though.
JS Manufacturing said:I run 2 ecm's in 2 different syty's. The stock ecm runs the engine, I have a newer ecm piggy backed to run the tranny shifting (4l80e).
The 97 you have probably needs the tranny (if you have auto), and may need it for guages, etc. You could piggyback for sure.
I would give timing control to syty ecm as well as fuel. Run a map sensor for syty side so that at higher boosts the ecm can pull timing (something I doubt your 97 ecm can do since it wont' see more than 0psi boost without a code hack).

JS Manufacturing said:Yes, but the info I have is tailored toward the truck having syty ecm, with other ecm piggy backing it. With piggy ecm being a different ecm than you have. Won't help you much.
If using the 97 ecm only for emissions, why not make adaptor harness, so you can just plug in a syty ecm for driving, plug in the 97 when you need to get a test done.
Unless you have a 4l60e then that is different story.

Mine is held in place with tabs on both the scoop and the intercooler so if I do smack it up, IDonHo32 said:I had it done by friend of mine. He does excellent work. Too visible for me to do it![]()
