Addco rear sway bar, Sy - #669

Does anybody got a picture of the Addco rear bar on a Sy?

The way I hear it described in posts doesn't seem to match what's in the box I just got.

Also, I had earlier mistakenly ordered the regular s-10 sway bar. It looked exactly like the one I have now.
It looks pretty puny even compared to the grainy, illegible pictures that came with the install instructions.

Am I expecting the wrong thing, or did I get the wrong item again?

Thanks,

Dig , I didnt get any instructions with mine and have it installed like this . Its an old pic before i converted to the ladder bars . I do remember having to flip everything around a few times for it all to line up properly .

Mine looks *nothing* like that. It's a much thinner bar, and it appears to go on the bottom of the diff

Crap. Guess I better call addco directly..

Pics of ADDCO rear bar installed. Best I could do without putting truck up on lift. First pic is from the rear, second is looking back from just in front of driver's side rear wheel. Bar goes under diff, arms going forward. Links go straight up to existing holes in frame. This is the truck the bar was prototyped on, the bar you see is the first ADDCO production Sy bar. I have the prototype somewhere. They started with Tri5 Chevy bar specs and then modified the program to get our bar.

What's the difference? Considering the is no difference between the rear of an S10 4wd and a Syclone I dont understand why there would be different bars. Because it's dropped in the rear? That doesn't make the parts that make up the rear any different. You can drop a 4wd S10 just as easy.

I did think of a difference between regular 4X4 pick-up and Syclone that could affect sway bar fittment. I have no idea if I'm correct or not. Does Gary know?

Exhaust system. Particularly mufflers and tailpipes.

I thought of that, too.

I took the belltech sawbar off my 91 S-10 4wd and put it on my sy--no problem. From the pics that are posted,I dont see a difference in the two(addco vs belltech).

Maybe it is a Sy vs. Ty difference , not 2wd s-10 vs. 4wd platforms ?
